Founded in 2008, Jacada Travel will soon be celebrating its 10th Anniversary with a strong call to action – the importance of environmental protection and conservation. In collaboration with award-winning National Geographic photographer, Keith Ladzinski, Jacada will host a photo exhibition, ‘A Fragile Planet,’ by Keith Ladzinski, to raise awareness on the importance of protecting and sustaining our planet.
As a renowned NatGeo photographer and filmmaker, Ladzinski has handpicked his pieces to showcase the beauty of planet Earth, including images of awe-inspiring landscapes and wildlife from Asia, Africa, South America and the Poles. Captured through his lens, Ladzinski’s images remind us all of the fragility of natural habitats, the animals that live within them, and encourage us to reflect and take steps to preserve these pristine environments.
“If we all change our behavior now, it isn’t too late to preserve the icebergs in Antarctica or increase the number of rhinos in Africa. We have all heard the success stories and it time for us to act now, to be responsible, to play an active role in conservation, and to spread the word,” says Celina Ho, Head of Marketing & Partnership of Jacada Travel.
To further spread awareness on environmental protection, there will be a Jacada Instagram competition revolving around #AFragilePlanet, encouraging individuals who have taken pictures of planet Earth to hashtag and remind us all of the beauty yet frailty of the world we live in today. The winner of the Instagram competition will receive a signed ‘A Fragile Planet’ photobook by Keith Ladzinski, consisting of photos of the seven continents he has been to, all tied with the common theme of conservation. Limited copies of the photobook will also be available at the ‘A Fragile Planet’ exhibition at The Haven.
