Brought to you by Jacada TravelTourism New Zealand and  New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute, for a series of Māori cultural events on 1 September. The Haven by Jacada Travel will transform into a cultural hub of all things New Zealand, showcasing both the country’s celebrated wine and gourmet scene through tasting workshops and its dynamic Māori culture through the mastery of arts and crafts.

Māori Weaving Workshop by Weaver Leilani Rickard from New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute

With the aim of perpetuating, preserving and promoting Māori culture through traditional Māori art, New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute is bringing 4 artists to Hong Kong showcasing the craftsmanship.

Weaver Leilani Rickard combines traditional Māori and contemporary elements when creating her unique designs. Previously presented at fashion shows in New Zealand and Paris, she started up a high street fashion ‘Natura Aura’, a fusion of science, nature and fashion inspired by Māori cultural heritage. Join Leilani on a workshop to learn about the traditional handicrafts.
