The Haven by Jacada Travel will transform into a cultural hub of all things New Zealand, showcasing both the country’s celebrated wine and gourmet scene through tasting workshops and its dynamic Māori culture through the mastery of arts and crafts.
Māori Weaving Workshop by Weaver Leilani Rickard from New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute
With the aim of perpetuating, preserving and promoting Māori culture through traditional Māori art, New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute is bringing 4 artists to Hong Kong showcasing the craftsmanship.
Weaver Leilani Rickard combines traditional Māori and contemporary elements when creating her unique designs. Previously presented at fashion shows in New Zealand and Paris, she started up a high street fashion ‘Natura Aura’, a fusion of science, nature and fashion inspired by Māori cultural heritage. Join Leilani on a workshop to learn about the traditional handicrafts.
Weaver – The National Weaving School

Leilani is a traditional weaver and artist and has been working with native plants for over 40 years,
while competing in various wearable arts and fashion competitions. She is also a co-founder of the
NZ High street fashion brand, Natura Aura.
